Swabian Instruments is looking for a Technical Sales Development Representative (TSDR) in Boston to engage with research groups at the forefront of photonics and quantum technology. This role requires a strong communicator with a background in physics or related fields.
Responsibilities include outreach to potential customers, representing the company at conferences, and shaping technical content. The position offers a hybrid work setup, health benefits, and a supportive team environment.
Swabian Instruments builds the time-correlated electronics that quantum labs, photonics groups, and life-science researchers rely on for their most demanding measurements. Our Time Taggers and Pulse Streamers are used in everything from quantum experiments at national labs to single-molecule fluorescence work at top research universities. Our solutions acquire or generate timing data for electronic signals with the highest accuracy and speed. We pair that with a powerful, versatile software engine that takes this data and facilitates various complex, real-time measurements in just a few lines of code in your preferred programming language. This enables scientists to run faster, more accurate experiments while also accelerating their research and technology development timelines. Our customers include NASA, NIST, Harvard, MIT, and Thorlabs.
This is a role for someone who finds science genuinely interesting and wants to build a long-term career at the intersection of physics and commercial work.
As a TSDR, you'll be the first technical voice prospects hear from us: reaching out to research groups whose work suggests a fit, representing Swabian Instruments on-site at major photonics and quantum conferences, and shaping the technical content (application pages, success stories, outreach campaigns) that brings qualified prospects in. You'll run early technical conversations to evaluate if our tools are a right fit, and work at the front end and alongside Sales Engineers to move qualified opportunities forward. Performance is measured on pipeline contribution and technical quality.
Required:
We invite you to join us in our mission to shape the future of photonics technology. If you’re a highly motivated individual with relevant skills and experience who enjoys working in a dynamic learning environment, we hope you apply!
We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome all qualified applicants. Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
