Job summary

Rockwell Automation invites students to join its Technical Sales and Consulting Internship Program, a 12-week paid experience across three tracks: Business Development Representative, Account Manager, and Technology Consultant. Interns gain hands-on training with manufacturing customers and work in field offices nationwide, with a mix of in-person and remote engagements.

You must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college, pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree, and be legally authorized

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical, industrial, mechanical, mechatronics, software or chemical engineering; computer science, industrial distribution, supply chain, business, technical majors or similar.
• Have a valid US drivers license and personal vehicle to use for the duration of the internship (Account Manager and Technical Consultant tracks only; Business Development Representative track does NOT require a vehicle)
• Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or our customers
• Experience with technical skills relevant to the manufacturing industry
• Expected graduation date is December 2027 or beyond
• Must be enrolled full-time at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship

Responsibilities

• Business Development Representatives: develop and qualify new sales opportunities; work with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to find opportunities for new business and expansion accounts; contact customers by phone and digital methods.
• Account Managers: develop and implement sales strategies to meet goals; work with customers face-to-face.
• Technology Consultants: communicate benefits of Rockwell Automation portfolio; engage with customers in face-to-face and online remote meetings.
