Job summary

Rockwell Automation offers a 12-week, paid Technical Sales and Consulting Internship Program in multiple U.S. locations.

You'll gain sales, technical, and professional skills working with manufacturing customers to improve productivity using Rockwell solutions. Training is provided in-person, online, and on-the-job across three tracks: Business Development Representative, Account Manager, and Technology Consultant.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Pursuing a degree in electrical, industrial, mechanical, mechatronics, software or chemical engineering; CS, industrial distribution, supply chain, business, or related majors.
• Have a valid US driver's license and access to a personal vehicle (tracks other than Business Development Representative).
• Previous internship experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or customers.
• Experience with technical skills relevant to the manufacturing industry.
• Expected graduation date December 2027 or beyond.
• Must be enrolled full-time for at least one semester after the internship.

Responsibilities

• Business Development Representatives develop and qualify new sales opportunities. You’ll work with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to develop targeted strategies and messaging to find new business opportunities and expansion accounts.
• Account Managers develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet sales goals and grow market share with customers face-to-face.
• Technology Consultants communicate benefits of Rockwell Automation products and work with customers in a mix of face-to-face and remote meetings.
