Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. in Buena Park, CA is seeking a Sales & Applications Engineer I to provide technical support to the sales and marketing team and to drive the adoption of our electromechanical and solid-state switching products.

You will present technical solutions, respond to customer requests, and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service and Business Unit Managers. Travel up to 20% is expected, and a BS in engineering with 2+ years in aerospace/defense is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; sales and marketing experience a plus.
• 2+ years' experience in aerospace and defense or equivalent.
• Computer literate including MS Office and CRM software.
• Proficient command of English, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Help define appropriate applications of technology to address end applications and articulate customers' requirements.
• Develop and present sales support material, including marketing and training presentations, white papers, etc.
• Research and understand existing solutions and all competitive product offerings.
• Develop deep knowledge of underlying technology and product lines for electromechanical and solid state switching components.
• Take part in specification reviews and respond timely to customer requests.
• Support Sales and Marketing activities including direct engagement with customers.
• Provide market intelligence and contribute to the company's knowledge base.
• Drive sales improvements by identifying and implementing new processes and technology.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through education and networking.
• Collaborate with management, engineering and production as part of the Business Unit team.
