Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking an entry-level Technical Service Account Support (Associate Scientist) to provide technical support to customers and grow sales of Tate & Lyle ingredients. You will conduct bench and pilot lab trials, analytical testing, and support project tasks across food applications. Travel up to 25% is required.

This role offers growth potential within the technical service team and aims to convert opportunities to sales, with emphasis on collaboration and problem solving.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in food science or related discipline.
• <3 years relevant experience.
• Moderate production knowledge in food processing.
• Sound knowledge of food science, chemistry, microbiology and general processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and technical skills.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Supports customer projects, internal research, and external growth campaigns using application knowledge.
• Works under limited supervision on assigned tasks to meet objectives.
• Conducts bench and pilot lab experiments with analytical testing.
• Supports food product formulation to meet project objectives.
• Provides clear communication of application study findings.
• Resolves technical problems through collaboration; travels to customer locations for trials.
