The Equus Group in Chicago is seeking a seasoned Technical Recruiter to join its Talent Acquisition team. You will partner with engineering and technology leaders to attract top talent across software, data, and product in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will own the full recruitment lifecycle, build strong pipelines, deliver a superior candidate experience, and advise hiring teams on market trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting software engineers and other technical professionals.
• Proven success sourcing passive candidates in competitive markets.
• Strong consultative approach with ability to influence hiring managers.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing multiple searches simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technical positions, from intake through offer acceptance.
• Partner with engineering leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define candidate profiles.
• Proactively source and engage top talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, and other sourcing methods.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future needs.
• Conduct recruiter screens and assess candidates for technical qualifications and fit.
• Guide hiring teams through interview planning, evaluation, and decisions.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience with timely communication.
• Advise hiring managers on market trends and competitive intelligence.
• Partner with compensation, HR, and business stakeholders through the offer process.
• Leverage metrics and market data to improve hiring outcomes.
• Contribute to employer branding and process improvements.
