Job description

Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Technical Recruiter through the SkillBridge program to join our Talent Acquisition team. This role is tailored for transitioning service members aiming to develop expertise in technical recruiting, including sourcing, engaging, and hiring top IT talent. Over a 16-week period, participants will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world experience in recruitment strategies, candidate engagement, and hiring processes across our Federal, Technology Consulting Solutions (TCS), and Corporate IT segments.

This structured program focuses on foundational skills in technical recruiting, sourcing strategies, compliance, and federal hiring procedures to prepare participants for a successful career in talent acquisition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support special projects within the HR department.
  • Maintain employee records, including data entry and file management.
  • Prepare reports and presentation materials.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining HR forms and documents.
  • Provide full lifecycle recruitment support: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and hiring management.
  • Support federal hiring efforts by understanding security clearance requirements and compliance regulations (OFCCP, EEO, diversity initiatives).
  • Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to develop job descriptions, refine sourcing strategies, and engage candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and other channels.
  • Track candidate pipelines and manage applicant tracking system (ATS) records, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Gain experience in compensation discussions, total rewards strategies, and offer processes within a federal hiring context.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing technical recruitment initiatives.
  • Participate in recruitment reporting and analytics to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and hiring trends.
  • Engage in training sessions to understand recruitment systems, tools, and best practices.

Training Duration: 16 Weeks

Minimum Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in human resources, psychology, industrial-organizational development, communication, business administration, social work, or a related field.
  • Completed at least 2 years of coursework.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Outlook and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
