Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a detail-oriented publishing technician for first shift on onsite campus in Iowa. You will operate printing equipment, assemble manuals, and manage digital assets while ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

Qualifications

Associate degree in production-related field preferred, with 1 year of experience in printing or related production.
Proficiency in MS Office, File Explorer, Adobe tools; ability to learn additional software quickly.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to learn complex processes.
Knowledge of printing equipment, paper stock, and production workflow.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift.

Responsibilities

Operate all publishing equipment to produce manuals and materials.
Build manuals, resource libraries, and complete production orders.
Monitor inventory and supplies for printing and publishing processes.
Learn relevant technical communication policies affecting printed materials quality.
Use order, print, file retrieval, and archiving systems to manage digital assets.
Maintain production flow and on-time delivery in the absence of the department lead.
