Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is seeking a Digital PrePress Technician to prepare, review, and optimize digital artwork for print production. You will ensure color accuracy, manage workflows, and deliver high-quality output across digital and conventional processes.

You will collaborate with design, production, and press teams, perform preflight checks, and support junior staff while maintaining archives and suggesting improvements to processes and tools.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related job experience.
• Associate Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with prepress workflow knowledge.
• Familiarity with prepress and packaging software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review digital files for print per specs and standards.
• Conduct preflight checks for fonts, images, color profiles, bleeds, and resolution.
• Adjust and optimize artwork to meet printing/packaging requirements.
• Generate and review digital and hardcopy proofs for approval.
• Collaborate with designers, CS, and press to resolve issues.
• Maintain organized digital archives and version control.
• Assist in training and supporting junior prepress staff.
• Monitor RIP systems and color management workflows for quality.
• Recommend process improvements and software updates.
