McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Technical Publications Administrator who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. The role coordinates with editors and authors to publish technical content and manages bibliographic data in an online repository.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and have some writing/editing experience along with strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Writing and editing experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work assignments with editors and authors to create a balanced workload.
• Generate scheduled metrics and highlights reports using database information as well as input from editors.
• Collaborate with technical writers and librarians to resolve questions from customers related to documents or document drafts.
• Create and maintain database records for all work assignments.
• Enter, catalog, and index bibliographic data in an online repository.
• Interact closely with librarians, engineers, analysts, and information managers to gather data as needed.
• Review and edit office documentation.
• Maintain, update, and/or compile relevant SOPs, training material, outreach material, and online resources for government review.
• Coordinate with authors and editors to keep jobs on track and moving towards final publishing and release.
