Job summary

You will collaborate with brokers and clients, assess construction details, loss history, and exposure, and apply underwriting guidelines to determine terms and pricing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a property underwriter in technical or complex property lines.
• Deep technical understanding of property coverage, risk assessment, and pricing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret risk information.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze new and renewal submissions for complex property risks across sectors.
• Assess construction details, property protection, occupancy, loss history, and exposure to catastrophes.
• Determine terms, conditions, and pricing per underwriting guidelines.
• Negotiate coverage terms with brokers and clients.
• Develop relationships with brokers, clients, and internal teams.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends for action.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support underwriting processes and product offerings.
