Job Summary

The College of Public Health/Public Health Analytics and Informatics is looking for a Technical Project Specialist III for grant-funded projects as part of Kentucky’s Rural Health Transformation. This position works across teams to ensure program activities are aligned and meet timelines. This position will coordinate and manage technical activities to implement or enhance research and information systems for Rural Health Transformation stakeholders. Works on project reports and other deliverables.

Due to the complexity of the project, this position will be responsible for coordinating the measure development process, serving as a thought partner to the Quality and Evaluation Lead, and facilitating and managing data sharing agreements. Participates in planning, policy recommendations, and problem resolution. Provides updates to the Quality and Evaluation Lead and Rural Health Transformation program leads on assigned projects/initiatives and escalates issues when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts into meaningful conclusions. Experience with public health research, public health surveillance, or public health informatics is preferred.

Please note: This position will be primarily remote with expectations to attend occasional periodic meetings in Frankfort and other areas in Kentucky.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Project Management Certification preferred, Microsoft Project, clarity, or other PM tool experience
