Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking a Technical Project Manager (solutions design) to join the development team for BYDS Defense Core Supply Chain modules. This role requires travel up to 25% monthly and involves leading solution implementation while coordinating with customers and internal teams across product management, analysts, development, and QA.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software, strong Java and SQL skills, and experience with cloud environments and Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, computer science, or supply chain.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).
• Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI).
• Strong Java skills and OOP knowledge.
• SQL proficiency and relational database experience.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns and protocols (REST/EDI/SOAP).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Systems implementation lifecycle experience (requirements, design, configuration, testing, training, support).
• Experience with enterprise software vendors is a plus.
• Knowledge of supply chains, logistics, order management, master data, cataloging.
• Experience with modern web technologies (React).

Essential Functions

• Conducting discovery sessions with Customers
• Analyzing Customer requirements and documenting Software Requirements Specification
• Producing design documents and participating in design reviews
• Creating project plans
• Writing code, unit tests, and build/deployment scripts - minimally
• Guiding and mentoring a team of developers
• Participating in code reviews
• Reviewing tests strategies
• Monitoring and managing project execution
• Executing performance/scalability tests & profiling hotspots
• Collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders, including product management, program management, functional analysts, development, and QA.

Education

• BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Supply Chain.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in writing software in their background
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices - including Domain Driven Design.
• Experience delivering projects using the Agile methodology, specifically Scrum or SAFE (Scalable Agile for Enterprises).
• Experience building and deploying applications in cloud-based environments including, AWS, MS Azure, or Oracle OCI
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming Skills. Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Extensive knowledge of the Java programming language
• Experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle). Should be able to write SQL queries.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns & protocols, such as REST, EDI, SOAP.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support
• Prior experience in development or consulting with an enterprise software vendor is a plus.
• Functional knowledge of supply chains, logistics, order management, master data management, cataloging, etc. is a plus
• Experience with modern web client technologies (i.e. React) is a plus

salary range for this position - $140,000 to $160,000.00

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
