Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead Technical Project Manager to oversee RF component development for lunar vehicle programs. You will drive technical project management, product maturation, and organizational development to deliver cost-effective solutions on schedule.

Responsibilities include establishing baselines, preparing program reviews with senior management, coordinating with IPTs and vendors, and ensuring compliance and risk management through Agile planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering operations related to avionics/electronics new product introduction.
  • Experience with MS Project and Jira.
  • Experience with design/build/test project methodology, including critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management.
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills.
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • Develop plans to meet deliverables and manage technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk metrics.
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers to manage RF hardware procurement, development schedules, and technical compliance.
  • Coordinate with RF Systems Director, IPTs, and supporting Blue Origin business units.
  • Monitor progress, budget, schedule, deliverables, and risks; recommend changes.
  • Communicate progress through program management reviews and long-term forecasting.

Job description

  • Lead technical project management for RF component development projects supporting Blue Origin's Lunar Vehicles
  • Apply project management, technical product maturation, and organizational development expertise to create efficient, cost-effective solutions for Lunar landers
  • Support development and maintenance of technical, cost, and schedule baselines
  • Prepare for and support program reviews, including reviews with Lunar Permanence Senior Management
  • Establish and maintain the Lunar vehicle meeting and review operating rhythm
  • Develop plans to meet deliverables and manage technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk metrics
  • Contribute to RF Systems product roadmaps and technology integration for program milestones and future derivatives
  • Partner with internal and external customers to understand and shape mission needs
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers to manage RF hardware procurement, development schedules, and technical compliance
  • Coordinate with the RF Systems Director, IPTs, and supporting Blue Origin business units
  • Monitor technical progress, budget, schedule, deliverables, and risks; recommend changes to Lunar RF Systems and Vehicle Directors
  • Communicate progress through program management reviews, finance reviews, long-term forecasting, and project deep dives
  • Ensure products are designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered efficiently
  • Support Agile-based planning and execution
  • Collaborate with other RF Systems Technical Project Managers to establish best practices and streamline processes across IPTs
  • Work with NASA and National Team Partners on the Human Landing System Sustaining Lunar Development program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering operations related to avionics/electronics new product introduction
  • Experience with MS Project and Jira
  • Experience with design/build/test project methodology, including critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills
  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain positive, professional relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Technical assessment as part of interviews
  • Background check required
