Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of solution development and delivery, providing Agile project management and Scrum Master support for agile teams.

You will manage client relationships, drive strategic initiatives, and coordinate remote delivery teams while coaching Product Owners and ensuring on-time, quality outcomes. Strong communication and engineering experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8 years of experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives.
• Strong judgment, negotiation skills, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Experience as a technical project manager.
• Experience working in a complex engineering environment.
• Ability to establish trust with a variety of stakeholders and customers.
• Self-managed and self-starter, ability to work independently.
• US Citizen
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain relationships with the client and pursue new opportunities with existing client.
• Develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives and manage remote project delivery teams.
• Assess the current organization and delivery environment to tailor Agile practices.
• Provide Agile Scrum Master support and attend ceremonies.
• Remove blockers to ensure project success.
• Coach the Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization.
• Handle challenging client situations with technical and business guidance.
• Lead and manage staff, monitor performance.
• Evaluate feasibility and accelerate delivery where feasible.
• Assist staff with training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunities.
