Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale IT initiatives for a major public-sector healthcare organization in the Quincy, MA area. This hybrid role requires reliable commuting to Quincy, MA, and coordination across IT leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT.
• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale IT projects.
• Experience with coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Experience with creating and maintaining project documentation (requirements, plans, status reports).
• Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
• Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Define objectives, priorities, and strategies with key stakeholders.
• Track progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and technical requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project status reports and dashboards.
• Assist in plans, checklists, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
• Support quality assurance, risk management, change management, testing, and implementation.
• Monitor scope and manage change control processes.
• Identify issues and remediation plans with internal/ external teams.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Lead effective meetings and ensure follow-ups.

Technical Project Manager The Panther Group is hiring an experienced Technical Project Manager to support large-scale IT projects for a major public-sector healthcare organization in the Quincy, Massachusetts, area. This is a hybrid position in the Quincy, MA, area. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to this location. Please note: No C2C, Subcontracting or Visa Sponsorship of any kind is available for this position. The person hired for this position will lead and coordinate technical project activities across multiple teams, working closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, technical resources, and project teams. This role will manage project plans, dependencies, risks, releases, and deliverables while helping ensure projects remain aligned with established timelines, objectives, and technical requirements.

• Provide regular project status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project status reports and dashboards.
• Work with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, project checklists, and budgets.
• Support project activities related to quality assurance, risk management, change management, testing, and implementation.
• Monitor workstream scope and manage change control processes.
• Identify project issues and develop remediation plans in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and project leadership.
• Translate technical concepts, plans, and procedures into clear information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct effective project meetings and ensure action items and follow-ups are completed.
• Ensure project activities follow established project management methodologies, quality standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Apply industry-standard project management practices across multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, managing projects from planning through implementation and delivery.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide IT projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects with multiple workstreams, dependencies, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
• Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, including requirements, project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and related deliverables.
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, risk assessment, issue management, and mitigation planning.
• Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar project management certification.
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise implementations and deployments.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects or applications at different stages of development.
• Experience delivering AI-related projects.
• Experience working with government security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with external vendors and partners.
• Strong cross-functional leadership experience in complex technical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with executives, management, end users, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Experience leading complex projects with multiple timelines, dependencies, and competing priorities.

Pay $70 - $78.50 / hour W2, depending on experience #INDIT
