Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale IT initiatives for a major public-sector healthcare organization in the Quincy, MA area. This hybrid role requires reliable commuting to Quincy, MA, and coordination across IT leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, managing releases and dependencies, and ensuring alignment with timelines, objectives, and security/regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT.
• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale IT projects.
• Experience with coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Experience with creating and maintaining project documentation (requirements, plans, status reports).
• Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
• Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with tasks, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and timelines.
• Coordinate multiple project activities and workstreams for alignment with goals and schedules.
• Manage tasks and dependencies between teams and technical resources.
• Review architecture docs to identify dependencies and support scalable, resilient solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and maintain release schedules.
• Define objectives, priorities, and strategies with key stakeholders.
• Track progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and technical requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project status reports and dashboards.
• Assist in plans, checklists, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
• Support quality assurance, risk management, change management, testing, and implementation.
• Monitor scope and manage change control processes.
• Identify issues and remediation plans with internal/ external teams.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Lead effective meetings and ensure follow-ups.
