Job summary

Optomi in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead end-to-end technology and business systems initiatives from initiation to post-launch support.

You will manage multiple concurrent projects across software development, enterprise applications, integrations, and process improvements, partnering with Product Owners, analysts, engineering, and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and success criteria.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering technology-focused initiatives.
  • Experience in software development, software engineering, or systems analysis.
  • Proven experience managing software development projects through the SDLC.
  • Experience with formal PMO governance, methodologies, and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills using project metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology and business systems projects.

  • Drive project planning, execution, risk management, issue resolution, and change management.
  • Establish and enforce PMO-aligned governance processes.
  • Create and maintain project docs, schedules, status reports, RAID logs, and steering materials.
  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting on project health and milestones.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and accountability for deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and PMO maturity.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular leadership updates.

  • Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Drive project planning, execution, risk management, issue resolution, and change management activities.
  • Establish and enforce project governance processes aligned with PMO standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, schedules, status reports, RAID logs, and steering committee materials.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting that clearly communicate project health, resource utilization, milestones, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure accountability for deliverables across teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, governance frameworks, and PMO maturity.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular updates to leadership teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience delivering technology-focused initiatives.
  • Prior experience in software development, software engineering, systems analysis, or another technical discipline.
  • Proven experience managing software development projects throughout the SDLC.
  • Experience working within a formal PMO and adhering to project governance frameworks, methodologies, and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to leverage project metrics to drive decision-making.
