Job summary

Webco-Industries in Sand Springs, OK, seeks a Technical Programs Specialist to support OEM reporting, document control, and quality-system activities across Technical Services, Plant Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering.

You will manage controlled records, perform metallurgical-related data tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects to improve documentation accuracy and customer documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; QA/QC or metallurgy-related coursework desired.
  • Experience or internship in metals manufacturing or quality dept.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, IATF 16949, and customer documentation requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret standards and large data sets.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, SAP, SharePoint, ETQ and calendar systems.
  • Advanced document-formatting capability for internal documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, control, and distribute OEM reporting documents (PPAP, APQP, FAI).
  • Set up and maintain document-control and records-management systems.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services, Plant Quality, production planning, sales, and operations.
  • Lead or assist projects to improve quality, processes, and reporting accuracy.
  • Assist with failure analysis and corrective action investigations.
  • Provide SharePoint support and accurate technical reports and records.

.Technical Programs SpecialistRole Purpose / MissionThe Technical Services Program Specialist reports to the TechCenter and supports Webco’s technical product quality systems, product development, special order initiatives. This role serves as a key support resource for Technical Services, Plant Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and customer-facing project teams by ensuring accurate technical documentation, controlled records, timely reporting, secure data management, and proactive problem-solving for OEM requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, control, and distribute customer-driven OEM reporting documents, including PPAP, APQP, FAI, and related technical or quality records.Set up and maintain document-control and records-management systems for multiple projects, including quality data, technical data, version control, retention, archiving, and controlled document distribution.Assist in execution of customer and production requirements, ensuring accuracy of material numbers, critical characteristics, standards, specifications, and customer documentation requirements.Collaborate with Technical Services, Plant Quality, production planning, sales, engineering, and operations teams to acquire, verify, track, retrieve, and distribute project documentation.Lead or assist with projects aimed at improving quality, production processes, documentation systems, customer-reporting accuracy, and operational capabilities.Assist Plant Quality with failure analysis and corrective action investigations, including metallurgical sample preparation, preliminary analysis, and documentation of findings.Assist in the execution of first time orders, trials, and sample order production.Assist in product and claim investigations and assist in preparing TechCenter/Customer errors.Required & Preferred QualificationsRequired:High School Diploma; coursework in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Metallurgy, Document Control, Business Administration, or a related field desired.Prior experience or internship in metals manufacturing, a manufacturing environment, a quality department, technical services, or document-control role.Knowledge of ISO 9000, IATF 16949, Technical Services standards, company policies, customer requirements, and controlled-document practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with technical/mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret standards, project data, and large data sets accurately.Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, SAP, SharePoint, ETQ, email, central calendar systems, and routine office equipment.Advanced document-formatting capability and proven ability to produce accurate internal documentation, technical reports, customer records, and project files.Excellent organization, planning, detail orientation, multi-tasking ability, and capability to manage work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the program development.5+ years of manufacturing experience. Webco experience is preferred.Previous experience managing project data books, customer document transmittals, SharePoint libraries, controlled records, or client documentation systems.Typical Physical DemandsWork a minimum of 8 hours per day on a regular basis; additional hours may be required based on workload, position needs, or department requirements.Requires prolonged periods of sitting, monitoring computer screens and displays, and using keyboard/mouse or other office equipment for routine tasks.Full range of body motion may be required, including lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking.Frequent walking and/or standing on concrete floors may occur; position may require walking distances of up to 2 miles in a manufacturing facility.Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are required.Unassisted lifting of objects weighing 5–50 lbs. may be required depending on lab, production, or documentation-support activities.Frequent hand positions may be used for turning, twisting, manipulating lab equipment, keyboarding, mouse use, document handling, and computer work; must be able to manage stress under deadlines or production emergencies.Typical Working ConditionsReports to Steven Miklos - TechCenter Organization.Split time between both Kellyville and Mannford stainless plants and TechCenterSplit time primarily between indoor office, technical/lab, and manufacturing areas depending on project, documentation, quality, and production-support needs.Manufacturing-floor exposure may include loud and prolonged noise, moving equipment, machines, overhead cranes, and extremely loud changing sounds caused by metal tubing during processing.Exposure to high summer temperatures (95–110°F) and cold temperatures may occur depending on outside conditions and manufacturing-area requirements.Required PPE includes hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, steel-toed shoes, and other safety equipment as appropriate while in manufacturing facilities..
