Lam Research seeks an experienced upgrade program leader to drive complex upgrade initiatives for installed base equipment. You will align with Engineering, Product Management, and Field teams to define scope, risk mitigation, and execution strategies while ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, mentorship, and scalable upgrade paths for new product introductions.

Qualifications

BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering with 15+ years experience; or a Master's with 12+ years; or a PhD with 8+ years.
10+ years in mechanical design, manufacturing or field service with focus on equipment design and upgrades.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication; ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Define Upgrades BOM and Scope of Works with Engineering, PM, and Operations.
Identify upgradeability gaps and drive engineering solutions to close them.
Support regionalization plans for upgrades execution; travel required.
Provide technical support on upgrades scope and reuse strategies.
Coordinate with product groups to develop upgrade paths for new product introductions.
Mentor the team toward cost reduction and project prioritization.
Present project plans to senior management and deliver results.
Ensure best practices in engineering, product development, and operations.
Maintain standards and documentation throughout projects.
