Job summary

Lam Research in Fremont, CA is seeking a Technical Program Manager 6 to lead upgrades and install-base solutions for global customers. You will coordinate with engineering, product management and operations to deliver defined upgrade scopes on time and within budget.

Youll mentor teams, drive cross-functional collaboration, and present plans to senior management while upholding Lam's standards for quality and safety in a fast-moving semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering with 15+ years experience; or a Master’s/PhD with extensive experience.
• 10+ years in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, field service engineering, or pilot engineering focusing on equipment design/upgradeability.
• Exceptional knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment hardware; Lam equipment knowledge a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
• Experience with Hardware Configuration/Product Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define Upgrades BOM and Scope of Works with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations.
• Identify requirements and gaps in install base related to upgradeability to forward build products.
• Support regionalization plans for upgrades execution; travel as required.
• Provide technical support to Product Lines for upgrades scope and reuse strategies.
• Coordinate with PG to develop upgrade paths for new product introductions.
• Mentor team toward cost reduction, upgrade execution paths, and prioritization.
• Present project plans to senior management and secure buy-in.
• Ensure best practices in engineering, product development, and operations.
• Maintain rigor in standards, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
