Job summary

Inversion is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Reentry Systems to own the technical and programmatic execution of a major reentry system development program from requirements through production and delivery.

You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams and act as the primary interface to the customer, ensuring tradeoffs are made and risks retired to deliver sophisticated flight hardware on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 7+ years of experience delivering complex aerospace hardware systems.
• Strong foundation in mechanical design and analysis for tightly coupled hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program execution from requirements to delivery for a reentry system.
• Define the integrated technical plan across structures, TPS, aerothermal, GNC, avionics, propulsion, and manufacturing.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, drive trades, and ensure flight-ready hardware.
• Manage system requirements, interfaces, verification plans, and risk.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to transition designs to repeatable production.
• Interface with the customer to translate needs into actionable requirements.
