Job summary

Rearc is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead delivery of a marketing data platform for a global payments leader. You will sit with marketers to define data requirements and KPIs, then translate them into actionable work for engineers.

You\'ll run a six-person data engineering team across the US and India, maintaining high-visibility client engagement and ensuring trusted data for marketing decisions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of program or project management experience, with at least 4 years leading technical data, analytics, or platform programs.
  • Real marketing domain expertise. You\'ve worked in or alongside a marketing function and can define data KPIs from a marketer\'s perspective: campaign performance, attribution, customer acquisition and retention, segmentation, and audience measurement.
  • Experience delivering marketing data programs, such as customer data platforms, marketing data lakes, campaign analytics, or marketing measurement and attribution.
  • Working knowledge of marketing technology, especially Salesforce (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud) and Adobe Analytics, and an understanding of how data moves out of these tools and into an analytics platform.
  • Enough technical depth to be credible with data engineers. You understand data pipelines, data modelling, and lakehouse concepts. Experience with Databricks is a strong plus.
  • A track record of leading distributed teams across time zones, ideally including teams in the US and India.
  • Client-facing confidence. You\'ve managed senior stakeholders in large, regulated enterprises, ideally in financial services or payments, and you\'re comfortable setting expectations and delivering hard messages.
  • Strong delivery discipline: scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and status reporting are second nature, and you adapt your approach to the engagement rather than forcing one methodology.
  • Clear communication that works equally well with a CMO, a marketing analyst, and a data engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Marketing Needs into Data Requirements: Work directly with marketers to understand the questions they need answered, then define the KPIs, metrics, and data requirements the team builds against.
  • Lead Program Delivery: Own scope, roadmap, timelines, and milestones for the engagement. Identify risks and blockers early and resolve them before they affect delivery.
  • Run a Distributed Team: Coordinate a six-person data engineering team across the US and India, including lead and senior data engineers, so work flows smoothly across time zones.
  • Own the Client Relationship Day to Day: Be the primary point of contact for marketing and technology stakeholders. Run status meetings, report progress clearly, and manage expectations with honesty.
  • Guide Data Platform Decisions: Partner with engineering leads on ingestion from marketing systems, data modelling, and platform design, making sure technical choices serve marketing outcomes.
  • Drive Adoption and Value: Make sure what we deliver gets used. Help marketing teams trust the data, understand the dashboards and models, and act on what they learn.
  • Spot Opportunities to Grow: Identify where the client could get more value from their data and AI investment, and bring those ideas to Rearc leadership.

Job description

At Rearc, we're committed to empowering engineers to build awesome products and experiences. Success as a business hinges on our people's ability to think freely, challenge the status quo, and speak up about alternative problem-solving approaches. If you're driven by the desire to solve problems and make a difference, you're in the right place!

Our approach is simple: empower our people with the best tools possible to make an impact within their industry. We're on the lookout for people who thrive on ownership and freedom, possessing not just technical depth but also executive presence and business judgment.

Founded in 2016, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where creativity flourishes, bureaucracy is minimal, and individuals are encouraged to challenge the status quo. We're not just a company; we're a community of problem-solvers dedicated to improving the lives of fellow software engineers and the customers we serve.

As a Technical Program Manager at Rearc, you'll lead delivery of a marketing data platform for the marketing organization of a global payments leader. You'll be the person who can sit with marketers, understand what they need to measure, and turn that into clear data requirements and KPIs that engineers can build against. You'll run a six-person data engineering team across the US and India, keep a high-visibility client engagement on track, and make sure what we ship gives marketers answers they trust. If you've lived on both sides of the marketing and data divide and know how to make them work together, this role is for you.

What You Bring
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience, with at least 4 years leading technical data, analytics, or platform programs.

  • Real marketing domain expertise. You've worked in or alongside a marketing function and can define data KPIs from a marketer's perspective: campaign performance, attribution, customer acquisition and retention, segmentation, and audience measurement.

You've managed senior stakeholders in large, regulated enterprises, ideally in financial services or payments, and you're comfortable setting expectations and delivering hard messages.

  • Strong delivery discipline: scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and status reporting are second nature, and you adapt your approach to the engagement rather than forcing one methodology.

  • Clear communication that works equally well with a CMO, a marketing analyst, and a data engineer.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Program Manager at Rearc, you'll own delivery of a client's marketing data program from requirements through production, acting as the bridge between marketing stakeholders and our engineering team.
