The Waymo Driver powers Waymo One, a fully autonomous ride-hailing service, and can be applied to various vehicle platforms and use cases. Waymo's Technical Program Managers are responsible for executing the company's roadmap through cross-functional planning, clarity, and proactive risk management. They address complex technical and operational challenges by driving discussions and outcomes, partnering with various functions to deploy the Waymo Driver across platforms and regions.

You will:

• Partner with engineering, finance, and program management teams to optimize resource utilization such as compute, storage, memory, and networking.
• Develop, monitor, and enhance policies and tooling.
• Make informed decisions by evaluating trade-offs and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Manage programs with minimal authority, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all levels.

You have:

• Extensive experience managing large-scale programs with multiple projects and stakeholders.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, software, or hardware domains.
• A background in computer science or equivalent technical expertise.
• A proven record of strategic communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in professional software or hardware development within large corporations.
• Advanced degrees such as a PhD or similar.
• Experience managing resources at scale.
• Knowledge of Business, Finance, and Accounting principles.
• Experience working with multi-geo teams.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning.

The estimated base salary for this role in the US ranges from $158,000 to $200,000 USD, with actual pay based on location, experience, training, and skills. Additional benefits include a discretionary annual bonus, equity incentives, and comprehensive company benefits.
