Job description

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the country in which the role is being hired. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Mark43's mission is to empower communities and their governments with new technologies that improve the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which our first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are therefore committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager - Infrastructure to drive the execution of complex, technical programs and strategic infrastructure initiatives. As a Technical Program Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, security, compliance, and operations, to ensure successful delivery of key projects on time and within scope. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, mitigating risks, and facilitating communication across teams to deliver high-impact results.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of technical programs, from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, security, compliance, and operations teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependency tracking, ensuring clear communication of ownership, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Manage project risks by proactively identifying technical, operational, and delivery risks, developing mitigation strategies, and driving timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, reporting progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across teams and departments to manage technical dependencies, optimize resources, and resolve conflicts.
  • Drive cross-functional execution by identifying dependencies early, facilitating technical discussions, and helping engineering teams remove delivery blockers.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering project delivery processes, leveraging agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Ensure all project documentation, executive status reporting, reporting, and communication is clear, concise, and available to stakeholders.
  • Track and manage project budgets and resources, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and financial constraints.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across cross-functional teams.
Who You Are:
  • You have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or are in the process of obtaining the certification.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional SaaS or infrastructure engineering programs in DevOps, Security, and Cloud-focused environments.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, IOS 27001 and NIST 800-53.
  • Working knowledge or understanding of DevOps tools and practices including Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and operational teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive decision-making.
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
People who thrive on our team also tend to share the following characteristics
  • Humble, open, and curious. You recognize there are numerous ways to solve a problem or implement a strategy. You gain various perspectives and consider the impact on the customer and other teams before making a decision. You also promote team diversity and diversity of thought.
  • Attentive, active listeners. You\'re interested in what others have to say and illustrate your interest with your actions. You listen with empathy and ask follow up questions to determine what your team and customers would like to achieve. You are comfortable with conflict because conflict provides an opportunity to help solve problems.
  • Enthusiastic collaborators. You understand that the best outcomes are achieved through shared ownership, and you seek to spread knowledge and expand participation rather than restrict it. You need to work cross-functionally to achieve successful outcomes for your team and customers.
  • Ultimate team player. You focus more on team and customer success than personal achievements. You understand that each team within the Deployments team works hand-in-hand to provide the best customer experience possible and you might have to pitch in to help other team members.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty. You know that sometimes problems and situations can\'t be simplified or fully understood; you know where to find information to help bring clarity to a situation, but you also understand that you won\'t always have all the information when making decisions. You invite change and help your team and customers navigate change. Comfortable bringing clarity to ambiguity while helping engineering teams make informed technical and delivery trade-offs.
