Job summary

Google's Pixel hardware team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to mass production. You'll plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the company.

You will drive development processes, coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and operations, and present technical tradeoffs to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of program management experience in hardware projects.
• Experience managing consumer electronics system engineering from prototype to production.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of Pixel hardware products and drive the overall execution of the team.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet schedule, system build milestones, cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Drive product development processes and phase gate reviews with the cross-functional teams.
• Lead resolution on key technical issues and communication of project status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Interface between joint development partners and cross functional Engineering and Operation teams.

• Experience across all phases of hardware product development from prototype to mass production.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience with consumer electronics and shipping products.
• Knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and development planning.
• Ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against plans.
• Ability to take initiative and drive several tasks at once.
• Passion for improving processes and plans.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
