Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager III for the Pixel Hardware team in Mountain View, CA. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary hardware projects from concept through mass production, coordinating with engineers, suppliers, and product teams to meet schedules, costs, and quality targets.

You will mentor junior staff, drive process improvements, and communicate risks and trade-offs to executives. This role sits on-site in Mountain View and reports to the Pixel Hardware group.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing consumer electronics system engineering.
  • Experience across all phases of hardware product development from prototype to mass production.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development of Pixel hardware products and drive overall team execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet schedule, system build milestones, cost, quality and manufacturability.
  • Drive product development processes and phase gate reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead resolution on key technical issues and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Interface between joint development partners and cross functional Engineering and Operations teams.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against plans.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive several tasks at once.
  • Passion for improving processes and plans.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
