IERUS Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead a hardware-focused engineering program.

This role combines program management accountability with chief engineer authority over architecture, requirements baseline, and verification strategy, delivering from concept through production. You will manage cost, schedule, staffing, interfaces with customers, and risk, while ensuring compliance with MIL-STD standards and AS9100/ISO9001 processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience owning program cost, schedule, and technical baseline (e.g., >$1M).
• Knowledge of hardware qualification standards MIL-STD-810/461/882 and DoD processes.
• Customer-facing technical lead experience, including presenting at design reviews.
• Experience in AS9100/ISO9001 and CMMI environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for architecture, requirements baseline, interfaces, and verification strategy.
• Own program cost, schedule, and staffing, including Integrated Master Schedule and budgets.
• Lead the engineering team through full hardware lifecycle from concept to production.
• Act as primary customer-facing technical and programmatic point of contact at reviews.
• Identify and manage technical, cost, and schedule risks; maintain a risk register.
• Support Basis of Estimate development and technical proposal content.
• Ensure compliance with hardware qualification standards and design processes.
• Coordinate requirements traceability, configuration management, and change control.
• Partner with engineering managers on staffing and performance management.
• Maintain compliance with quality management systems and audits.
