Job summary

Scale is seeking a Technical Program Manager for the Platform team to accelerate the development of the Scale Generative AI Platform (SGP). You will partner with engineering to deliver robust, scalable developer tooling and distributed systems, translating architectural complexities into actionable execution strategies.

You will own end-to-end programs from scoping to production launch, manage dependencies across platform engineering, product, and research, and set clear SLOs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, or Software Engineer with a track record of having built and shipped technical products or platforms.
• Platform Domain Expertise: 3+ years managing programs focused on core engineering infra, cloud-native ecosystems, container orchestration, or distributed systems.
• AI/ML Infrastructure Literacy: understanding of high-throughput data pipelines, GPU/CPU cluster utilization, or model training setups.
• Masterful Communication: experience presenting to executives and translating complex challenges into business impacts.
• Execution Excellence: proficient with iterative development and modern PM tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle & Platform Delivery: Lead strategic planning and high-velocity execution for SGP core capabilities, from scoping to production launch.
• Cross-Functional GenAI Alignment: Drive execution across systems engineering, Core ML, Research, and Product teams for unified SGP capabilities.
• Technical Translation & Requirements: Translate infrastructure metrics into actionable roadmaps and platform features.
• Risk & Dependency Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks for massive-scale GenAI deployments.
• Developer Velocity & Operational Excellence: Establish lightweight agile processes with clear SLOs and performance benchmarks.
• Metrics-Driven Adoption: Track adoption and reliability metrics and report to executives.
