Job summary

A Technical Program Manager & Business Analyst role is available for a pharma client, based in South San Francisco. The hybrid schedule is 3-4 days onsite, with 8:00 AM–4:30 PM PT hours and a 12-month contract (W2). You will drive program management and business analysis across DSML, engineering, and business teams.

You will translate AI/ML capabilities into concrete business requirements, define acceptance criteria, and help build governance and reporting structures from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in TPM/BPA/IT program management within life sciences or enterprise tech.
• Experience bridging business stakeholders, PMs, DSML teams and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Bridge business stakeholders, product managers, DSML and engineering teams.
• Establish program mgmt frameworks from scratch (Jira/Confluence, RAID logs, milestones, governance, status reporting).
• Break down epics into detailed user stories, requirements and developer-ready specs.
• Define testable acceptance criteria using Given/When/Then (Gherkin).
• Coordinate deliverables, dependencies and timelines across DSML, technology engineering and business teams.
• Translate AI/ML capabilities into business requirements and workflows without coding/ML development.

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager & Business Analyst – Agentic AI Platform for one of our competitive pharma clients.

Job Title: Technical Program Manager & Business Analyst

Working Model: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite), South San Francsico, CA 94080

Working Days: Monday through Friday

Working Hours: 8 AM to 4:30 PM PT

Interview Format: Two Rounds (1. Hiring Manager [30 minutes]; 2. Upper Management [30 minutes])

Duration: 12 months contract (with possible extension)

Terms: Contract W2

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Technical Business Analysis, IT Program Management, or Business Systems Analysis, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or enterprise technology organizations.
• Strong expertise in Technical Program Management and Business Analysis, bridging business stakeholders, Product Managers, Data Science/ML teams, and engineering teams.
• Hands‑on experience establishing program management frameworks from scratch, including Jira/Confluence structures, RAID logs, dependency tracking, milestone schedules, governance, and status reporting.
• Strong experience in breaking down high‑level product epics into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and developer‑ready specifications.
• Proficiency in defining testable Acceptance Criteria using Given/When/Then (Gherkin) format.
• Experience coordinating deliverables, dependencies, and timelines across Data Science & Machine Learning (DSML), technology engineering (RDT), and business teams.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), APIs, prompt engineering, AI workflows, and Human‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) concepts.
• Ability to translate AI/ML technical capabilities into business requirements, functional specifications, user journeys, and workflow documentation without requiring hands‑on coding or ML model development.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira and Confluence, along with process mapping tools such as Lucidchart or Miro.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management and Adobe platforms, particularly Adobe Workfront, Digital Asset Management (DAM), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Express, and Adobe GenStudio.
