Job summary

Qualified Health in Palo Alto is seeking a Technical Program Manager to bridge product and engineering teams and ensure strategy translates into execution. You will work across design, product, data, compliance, security, infrastructure, and support, with occasional leadership reporting.

Qualifications include 2–4 years in software PM, strong communication, and a Bachelor's in engineering or related field. Onsite in Palo Alto 3 days/week; contract-to-hire with equity/benefits potential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager.
  • Proficiency in program management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills: written, oral, and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative and self-directed; can work independently without constant direction.
  • Adaptable to dynamic work environments; mission-driven, team-oriented cultures.
  • Comfortable with rolling up and drilling down information depending on the audience.
  • The role involves managing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.
  • Onsite availability in office in Palo Alto (3 days/week).

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across multiple related projects/workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Track and report program status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage resource allocation.
  • Drive operational excellence and process improvements.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and alignment.
  • Run program-level meetings and status reviews such as Daily Standups and Sprint Planning.
  • Create and maintain program documentation.
  • Resolve cross-team blockers and conflicts.
  • Identify and track sprint-level risks, dependencies, blockers.
  • Develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage bug identification and resolution across teams.
  • Track resource allocation across projects with initiative owners.
  • Identify resource constraints and conflicts.

Job Summary

The Technical Program Manager will oversee multiple projects, bridging product and engineering teams to ensure that the team’s vision and direction translate into seamless execution. This person will work cross-functionally across program design, product development, data, compliance, security, infrastructure, and support teams. Occasional leadership reporting and stakeholder presentations are part of the role. The individual should bring a hands-on approach, the ability to manage project plans, and identify risks while collaborating effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Program Execution & Coordination

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Tools: Notion, Claude, Smartsheets or comparable project management software (open to alternatives).

Pay & Benefits

This is a contract to hire position. The pay range for this role is between $75 - $100/hour, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. When converting to full time this role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
