Job summary

CACI International invites applications for a Technical Product Owner to bridge program leadership, government stakeholders, and a multi-disciplinary software team. Own objectives and backlog for a fast-moving software product across design, development, and testing.

You will collaborate with engineers, R&D, and methodologies to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery while tracking progress and mitigating risks. A TS/SCI clearance is required for this role with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
7+ years of hands-on software engineering or development experience, including recent design or architecture work.
2+ years in Product Owner, technical program coordination, or similar cross-functional leadership.
Experience translating product/mission requirements into engineering execution plans.
Experience conducting design and/or code reviews and triaging technical tickets (GitLab, Jira).
Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and backlog management.
Experience coordinating across multiple technical teams (engineering, QA, R&D).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Understand and translate product objectives into actionable engineering tasks.
Participate in design reviews and evaluate architectures for alignment and scalability.
Conduct code reviews to ensure standards and quality.
Triage tickets at the task level and identify gaps between tasks and requirements.
Own and track end-to-end development progress across teams.
Ensure the development process delivers high-quality, on-schedule deliverables.
Provide day-to-day support to the development team with resources and tools.
Coordinate with Program Tech Lead, R&D Manager, and Methodologies Manager on direction.
Define and prioritize the product backlog with government stakeholders.
Identify risks and propose mitigations to the Program Manager.
Facilitate communication between SW team, program managers, customers, and peers.
Support software assurance processes and enforce standards.
Act as secondary contact for Government Sponsor and Partner teams on technical matters.
Coordinate with Lab Manager and Security Specialist on access needs.
Track and report product-level progress to stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.
