Job summary

Custom Software Systems, Inc. in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Senior Product Owner (Technical Product Owner) to drive product strategy and define technical requirements for research collaboration platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
10+ years in product ownership/technical analysis roles.
7+ years IT project management and UAT experience.
Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and Agile methodologies.
Experience translating business needs into technical requirements.
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, architects, and leadership.
Proficient with GitHub, Overleaf, and file collaboration tools.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

Define product vision, priorities, and roadmaps for research collaboration platforms and tools.
Translate business requirements into technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Prioritize features based on value, feasibility, and stakeholder needs.
Maintain traceability of requirements through development lifecycle.
Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and backlog refinement.
Collaborate with DevSecOps and platform architects on feasibility and integrations.
Communicate technical constraints clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
Coordinate priorities, timelines, and deliverables across stakeholders.
