SONIFI Solutions, Inc. seeks a technically oriented Product Owner to translate customer needs into backlog items for managed WiFi and network services.

You'll partner with engineering to deliver SaaS and infrastructure-focused products, owning backlog prioritization and acceptance criteria. You will work with cross-functional teams across Engineering, QA, Support, Sales, and Product Management to ensure alignment with the product roadmap and measurable customer value, while supporting launches

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in Product Management or closely related technical discipline.
• 3+ years supporting networking, managed services, SaaS, cloud networking, or infrastructure-focused products.
• Experience owning and prioritizing product backlogs, writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, gathering customer requirements.

Help define the future of connected hospitality technology through products that power managed WiFi, network infrastructure, and digital guest experiences. We're looking for a Technical Product Owner who is passionate about translating customer needs into innovative technology solutions while partnering closely with software engineering teams to deliver high-quality products. This role is ideal for someone who understands both technology and business and enjoys collaborating across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to build products that solve real customer problems.

This is a highly collaborative, technical Product Owner role supporting SONIFI's Managed WiFi and Network Services portfolio. The ideal candidate has experience working with software engineering teams to deliver networking, managed services, SaaS, or infrastructure-focused technology products. This is not a project management or Scrum Master role.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Product Manager, you'll own the day-to-day execution of the product roadmap by translating business priorities and customer needs into a well-defined product backlog. Working closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Support, Sales, and Product Management, you'll ensure development efforts remain aligned with product strategy while delivering solutions that provide measurable value for SONIFI customers.

• Own and prioritize the product backlog by translating product strategy, customer feedback, and business priorities into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that align with the product roadmap and maximize customer value.
• Partner closely with software engineering, quality assurance, product management, customers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate enhancement requests, clarify technical requirements, and deliver networking and managed service solutions that meet customer and business objectives.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, product demonstrations, and other Agile activities while serving as the primary resource for development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Define detailed functional requirements and acceptance criteria, answer developer questions, remove ambiguities, support testing activities, and ensure delivered functionality meets customer expectations and product quality standards.
• Monitor product performance, customer feedback, usage trends, and enhancement opportunities while continuously refining backlog priorities to improve customer experience and business outcomes.
• Develop product documentation, release communications, training materials, and internal product resources while supporting cross-functional teams during product launches and customer adoption activities.
• Build deep expertise in SONIFI's Managed WiFi and Network Services platform, networking technologies, customer workflows, and business processes while contributing to continuous product improvement and long-term product strategy.

What you'll need

We're looking for a technically oriented Product Owner who understands how to work with software engineering teams to build technology products. The strongest candidates will have experience supporting networking, managed services, SaaS, cloud networking, or infrastructure-focused software products.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, along with five or more years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three or more years of experience supporting networking infrastructure, managed WiFi, managed services, SaaS, cloud networking, telecommunications, enterprise software, or other infrastructure-focused technology products.
• Demonstrated experience owning and prioritizing product backlogs, writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, gathering customer requirements, and partnering directly with software engineering teams throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, backlog management, software development processes, and product delivery using Jira, Confluence, or similar product management tools.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate customer needs, technical constraints, business priorities, and product tradeoffs to make informed product decisions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, architects, customers, executives, sales teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, balance short‑term customer needs with long‑term product strategy, and drive product decisions that deliver measurable business and customer value.

Preferred

• Experience supporting networking technologies such as managed WiFi, network infrastructure, authentication, switching, routing, cloud networking, or managed connectivity solutions.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or similar Agile certification.
• Experience working with Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.
• Experience in hospitality technology, telecommunications, managed services, or other enterprise technology environments.

Compensation for this position generally starts at $90,000 to $120,000 annually and varies based on experience, education, specialty, training, and geographic location.
