Our client is the creator of a unified, SaaS-based platform solution that empowers organizations to efficiently and securely adopt DevOps, Cloud Transformation, and Zero-Trust Access initiatives. They are backed by renowned cybersecurity investors and led by a seasoned & success-oriented management team. The platform provides a set of breakthrough offerings in the realm of Secrets Management, Secure Remote Access, and Data Protection.

They are looking for a Technical Product Marketing Engineer to join the Marketing team.

This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success and Sales teams to build effective content related to industry specific pain points. This role will sit at the intersection of Product Management and Marketing to create the content needed to educate our prospects and customers on the platform’s value and competitive differentiation.

The Technical Product Marketing Engineer will articulate the value propositions to inform product strategy, understand the competitive landscape, and position our products in the market. You will be the lynchpin to driving success of positioning and marketing to our more technical community. You will develop a technical marketing content strategy that will help our prospects and customers understand what is possible with the platform/product lines by creating highly technical and compelling content.

Requirements
  1. Technical/Engineering related degree preferred
  2. Strong technical background with 5+ years of experience in technical product marketing, sales engineering, product management or solution consulting in one or more of these market areas: Secrets Management, Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Data Protection, Application Security, and/or DevOps
  3. Proven technical and marketing skills, including the ability to customize solutions, facilitate product demonstrations and effectively communicate product value propositions and key differentiators
  4. Very strong written and oral communication skills, excellent storyteller
  5. Exceptional people skills to interact with executives, colleagues, cross-functional teams, partners, and customers
Responsibilities
  1. Define and execute technical product marketing deliverables including but not limited to blog, videos, demos, sales enablement trainings, presentations, and collateral for marketing campaigns and events
  2. Drive strategy around technical content creation, understanding what is required for customer and partner success
  3. Develop value propositions, messaging, case studies, and collateral that drive prospect engagement supports sales and demand generation
  4. Assist in the planning of new product launches and releases and create supporting technical content
  5. Deliver content related to value propositions, competitive differentiators, and product-focused sales materials
  6. Lead technical product marketing programs and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan such that sales teams, field marketing, and partner organizations are properly informed about all technical and thought leadership content
  7. Partner with product management, product line sales to achieve a shared understanding ICP, target markets, and desired product direction
  8. Present technical marketing content to both internal and external audiences
  9. Engage customers, partners, and analysts in online communities and social media, leveraging your technical marketing and thought leadership content
  10. Understand and distill product capabilities into key customer requirements
