Job summary

Vanguard seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager within the Global Risk and Security (GR&S) division. You will translate business objectives into actionable engineering initiatives, own product success, and communicate complex requirements to executives and teams.

You will develop roadmaps, feature plans, and metrics to drive secure and scalable solutions across Vanguard. You will partner with delivery teams to align with OKRs, mentor colleagues, and stay ahead of security trends in Identity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, with at least two years leading large, cross-functional teams on major organizational initiatives.
• Proven track record of delivering results in complex, fast-paced environments.

Position Overview

As a Senior Technical Product Manager in Vanguard’s Global Risk and Security (GR&S) division, you will play a pivotal role in enabling business strategy, safeguarding client and organizational assets and data while fostering a robust risk culture. Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub‑division is dedicated to the comprehensive protection of Vanguard’s personnel, property, data, and client assets. Key Responsibilities

Technical Product Leadership

• Translate strategic business objectives into actionable initiatives for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Articulate complex technical requirements in clear, concise language suitable for executive audiences and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability for product success, serving as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to product features and functionality.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including product cards, roadmaps, feature and capability plans, as well as usage and operational metrics.
• Apply both qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive continuous improvement in client experience and product performance.
• Exhibit advanced problem‑solving skills, proactively addressing challenges related to scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to product architecture and the design of technical solutions, fostering collaboration across teams and facilitating a shared understanding of business needs and technical constraints.
• Partner with delivery teams to ensure that project intake and deliverables are consistently aligned with business priorities and key results (OKRs).
• Establish strong partnership with peers and mentor others, promote best practices and elevate the discipline of product management across the organization.

Security Expertise

• Possess foundational knowledge in key security domains, including Identity and Access Management, Cryptography, Vulnerability Assessment, and Risk Management.
• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in cloud‑based infrastructure and services, with the ability to guide teams in implementing secure, scalable solutions.
• Remain current on industry trends and the evolving threat landscape, driving teams to adopt proactive controls and robust fail‑safes to mitigate risk.
