Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Technical Product Lead to drive strategy, development, and delivery of technology solutions that align with business goals. You will translate requirements into scalable tech, manage roadmaps, and prioritize work across business, architecture and development teams.

You will lead lifecycle activities from ideation to rollout, ensuring security, performance, and compliance, while collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to deliver value at scale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, IT Leadership, Lead Development, Solution/Application architecture or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, systems integration, APIs, cloud platforms, databases, ELT and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, RDBMS, SQL, Python.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned IT products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, users, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to gather and prioritize requirements.
  • Lead product lifecycle activities from ideation and planning through implementation and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage product backlogs and prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk, and technical dependencies.
  • Drive implementation and rollout of new applications.
  • Serve as the escalation point for product-related issues and incidents, coordinating with business and development.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release coordination where applicable.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and provide regular updates on product progress and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and technology modernization.
  • Support vendor evaluations, technology assessments, and implementation projects.

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Product Lead to drive the strategy, development, and delivery of technology solutions that support business objectives. This role serves as the vital link between business, solution architecture and development teams. The lead will ensure delivered products are aligned with organizational goals, well-engineered, and delivered efficiently. The ideal candidate combines very strong technical expertise with product leadership skills, enabling them to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions while managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate also will have had a background in development, architecture or other highly technical IT field.

Key Responsibilities
  • The candidate will participate in lightweight, architecture, design, and code review.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Proven experience managing product roadmaps and delivering technology solutions.
Work at Home Requirements
  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
  • Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours 40.
Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $126,300 - $173,700 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
