Acara Solutions is seeking a Technical Process Engineer in Gibsonton, FL to provide technical leadership for robotic programming and process development in a highly advanced manufacturing environment.

You will drive development, optimization, and support of robotic grinding operations, collaborating with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and process reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting ABB robotic systems using RAPID.
  • Experience with robotic grinding, material removal processes, or automated finishing operations.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • Strong understanding of robotic manufacturing processes, process development, automation, process control, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, maintain, and optimize robotic programs and process parameters for automated grinding operations.
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Support capital equipment and automation projects, including equipment specification, installation, commissioning, validation, and production startup.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality teams to support production goals and new product introductions.
  • Develop technical documentation, work instructions, standards, and training materials while providing programming and process support to manufacturing teams.

Job Requirements
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment casting manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting ABB robotic systems using RAPID.

  • Demonstrated success leading technical projects and delivering results.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Additional Information
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • This position needs regular interaction with manufacturing equipment and personnel in both office and production environments.
  • The role may involve standing, walking, lifting moderate loads, and exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, moving equipment, dust, vibration, and varying temperatures.
