Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Columbus, Georgia seeks a Technical Operations Manager to lead a 24x7 Data Center Technician team and align services with clients' strategic goals. The role emphasizes uptime, performance, and proactive improvements across technical solutions, with onsite work at the customer's data center.

Key duties include delivering roadmaps, maintaining customer relationships, managing SLAs and KPIs, and presenting updates to senior stakeholders in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of technical operations management.
• 2+ years of project management and 4+ years interfacing with customers, including executive-level interactions.
• Experience with hyperscalers, enterprise companies and/or government.
• Linux, Windows Server, scripting, Python.
• Jira/Bitbucket or similar experience.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead a team.
• Comfortable presenting to senior leaders, remote or onsite.
• Ability to function in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Run a 24x7 Data Center Technician team.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and SLA/KPI attainment.
• Conduct Monthly Operational Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Provide Technical Roadmap Development.
• Record and report operational metrics and incidents.
• Maintain strong client relationships and be single point of contact for technical matters.
• Drive technical updates, outages, incidents, and requests with clear communication.
