Location: Head Office, Irvine (with occasional UK-wide travel as required)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Technical Operations & Inventory Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Service Stores function and take a hands-on role in the effective flow of parts, stock, and technical resources across the Service Department and workshop. This is currently a small team but with healthy growth in the business lending itself to someone who is keen to develop their career as the department continues to grow.
This career-focused role is ideal for someone who is ready to bring their background in stores and stock management to a more strategic level. You’ll use your technical aptitude, excellent IT and organisational skills, and operational mindset to enhance the efficiency and service delivery of our internal processes.
In this role, you will take full responsibility for managing incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining stock records, fulfilling service orders, overseeing hire/loan assets, and identifying ways to optimise our warehouse and inventory functions. You’ll also support procurement and technical aspects associated with the role , and ideally contribute to design layouts through CAD software.
We are seeking someone who is ambitious, detail-driven, confident in managing people and parts, and enjoys working towards KPIs and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Experience in managing a parts or inventory department (essential).
Proven people and organisational leadership skills.
Strong technical mindset and ability to understand mechanical or technical drawings & systems.
Solid IT and administrative skills—comfortable using systems like ERP/CRM platforms.
Previous experience working to KPIs and reporting on operational performance.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Experience using CAD software is desirable but not essential.
Positive attitude, hands-on approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required (expenses covered).
Good level of physical fitness.
Flexible to work overtime when needed—core week is 40 hours.
Professional presentation and a customer-first approach.
A strong sense of responsibility and pride in delivering high standards.
Performance Objectives / KPIs
Weekly tracking and reporting of hire/loan stock.
Monthly invoicing of hire assets and returns reconciliation.
Timely dispatch of all Service Sales Orders.
Daily clearing and processing of goods received.
Workshop assistance and planning support.
Support on parts identification and job allocation.
Ongoing improvement of warehouse layout and space usage.
Contribution to technical CAD work, as the role evolves.
