Job summary

Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a Technical Manager to lead civil engineering projects, mentor staff, and shape technical strategies across land development, water resources, and surveying disciplines.

Candidate must hold a Civil Engineering degree with at least 6 years of design experience and an EIT; PE is preferred. The role offers hybrid work after 90 days and a path toward ownership in a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 6 years of civil engineering design experience.
• At least 3 years as the central design figure, mentor to employees, and lead for technical aspects of projects.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, leadership, and ability to manage a land development project from start to finish (entitlements through construction support).
• EIT certification required.
• PE certification preferred.
• A motivated, curious problem-solver who works well independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical strategist for civil engineering and technical specialties for land/site development, water resources, or survey projects.
• Provide technical leadership by developing and refining technical processes and methodologies.
• Advance technical capabilities by developing and mentoring staff through knowledge transfer and advanced technical learning.
• Manages team members including task delegation, staff reviews, and other supervisory tasks.
• Actively participate in QA/QC processes by conducting thorough technical reviews of engineering deliverables and mentoring staff in quality standards and procedures.
