Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a technical manager for the Cyber Risk Management (CRM) Team within CERT’s Cyber Risk & Resilience Directorate in Pittsburgh. The role drives a sustained applied research and technical agenda aligned with DoW challenges, manages project plans and finances, and leads interdisciplinary problem-solving with a strong client-facing focus.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in risk management, cybersecurity, information systems, economics, mathematics or related technical field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Ten years of experience in enterprise risk management or related technical leadership roles.
• Experience with risk quantification tools and risk governance frameworks/standards.
• Knowledge of network architectures, cybersecurity, information security models, and DoW/USG risk practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate technical vision; create project work statements and plans.
• Manage budgets, tasking, and initiative finances; generate new work and customers.
• Supervise staff and ensure high customer satisfaction in engagements.
• Interact with clients and staff at all levels in a professional manner.
