The role requires negotiating technical provisions, reviewing leases, and coordinating with internal teams and airlines.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering; an A&P licence is beneficial.
  • Proven experience as powerplant/technical manager with lease-related duties.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to communicate with airlines and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Report to senior technical leadership and coordinate technical matters.
  • Act as focal point for aircraft transitions, deliveries, redeliveries and onboarding.
  • Negotiate return conditions and technical provisions of leases and LOIs.
  • Perform evaluations of return conditions and end-of-lease calculations.
  • Review leases to identify gaps and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess investments and asset value.
  • Support remarketing with asset condition information and specs.
  • Monitor value impacts including ADs and service bulletins.
  • Witness shop visits and report issues to the technical team.
  • Travel internationally as required and adhere to guidelines.

Job description

Peak Performance Recruitment are seeking an experienced aviation technical professional for a strategic role supporting aircraft and engine transitions, trading and maintenance activity across a lessor's fleet.

The position will act as a key technical focal point for aircraft leasing deliveries, redeliveries, aircraft onboarding, lease negotiations and asset value management. The ideal candidate will also have a good knowledge of aircraft engines management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to senior technical leadership, coordinating responsibilities and communications relating to technical matters.
  • Act as the focal point for aircraft transitions, including deliveries, redeliveries and aircraft onboarding in line with platform growth.
  • Negotiate return conditions and the technical provisions of aircraft leases and letters of intent.
  • Perform analytical evaluations of return conditions and end-of-lease calculations.
  • Review aircraft leases to identify gaps, protect value and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess potential investments and maximise existing aircraft and engine investments.
  • Support the Marketing team with current and projected asset condition information and specifications for remarketing activity.
  • Monitor and report significant value impacts, including major Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and fleet demographic considerations.
  • Manage aircraft configuration changes through OEM, DER or Part 21 pathways, maintaining awareness of global mandates and reporting internally.
  • Assess jurisdictional and regional regulatory differences, including FAA, EASA and CAAC requirements.
  • Review technical audits of engine records ,documentation and delivery packages.
  • Contribute to fleet management activity, including shop visit costs, trends and technical issues.
  • Witness shop visits, lease deliveries and redeliveries, prepare reports and update the technical team on issues and solutions.
  • Travel internationally, sometimes at relatively short notice, in line with business requirements.
  • Follow company guidelines, protocols and technical manual requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Engineering; an A&P licence is beneficial.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience as a powerplant manager or technical manager.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating technical provisions in aircraft or engine lease and purchase agreements.
  • Powerplant experience should include CFM56, V2500 and other commercial engines.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multinational organisation.
  • Confidence acting as the customer-facing representative of a lessor, including discussions with airlines on
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Self-directed, highly committed and flexible, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Diplomatic and articulate when dealing with customers and counterparties.
