Job summary

ASML in San Diego seeks a Technical Lead to guide a team addressing tin debris mitigation in EUV laser-produced plasma systems. You will own hardware solutions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with CFD/FEA analysts to optimize thermal and flow performance.

With 10+ years in engineering leadership and strong communication, you will influence program direction and roadmap execution, while ensuring robust design and production readiness. On-site with flexible hybrid options in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering or related discipline.
• MS or PhD strongly preferred for advanced leadership roles.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering leadership.
• Experience with thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with semiconductor processing equipment a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead technical solutions and hardware related to tin mitigation.
• Coordinate with FEA/CFD analysts and stakeholders to guide program direction.
• Drive concepts addressing thermal, flow, and mechanical performance gaps for cross-functional teams.
• Define architecture, prototyping, and tradeoffs between optimal tech and feasible solutions.
• Develop and maintain sub-module specifications and lead reviews with Systems Engineering.
• Define test protocols, analyze results, and recommend design/operational changes.
• Assess risks and define mitigation strategies with project leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate interfaces across sub-functions.
• Define roadmaps for future products and ensure end-to-end product lifecycle coverage.
