Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in Atlanta seeks a Software Engineering Technical Lead to guide a 4-5 person team of third-party engineers, establishing patterns, best practices, and architectures for the SDP platform that others will build upon to create features and resolve bugs.

The role requires leading design, code reviews, Scrum ceremonies, and technical documentation, while mentoring engineers and coordinating offshore developers to deliver robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering.
• 7+ years of software engineering with APIs and system integration.
• Experience with frontend and backend tech (Angular/JS/TS/HTML/CSS; Java, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, REST).
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Experience leading offshore developers.

Responsibilities

• Implement applications using microservices architecture.
• Perform code reviews and coordinate team tasks.
• Lead requirements analysis and system architecture, including DB schemas.
• Provide technical specs and task estimates.
• Conduct Scrum ceremonies (planning, grooming, retrospective).
• Mentor team members and prepare technical documentation.
