Job summary

LendingTree is seeking a technical lead to steer design and build phases of major projects in our Charlotte, NC area. You will mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and champion scalable, enterprise-grade solutions across teams.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to educate peers in software delivery and modern patterns, while maintaining a strong focus on SDLC and high-quality delivery in a hybrid workflow.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React, Vue.js or Angular.
• Experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, including event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience working with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ, MassTransit or similar event brokers.
• Experience designing and building scalable enterprise platforms or core platform services.
• Experience defining technical architecture and making design decisions for complex, distributed applications.
• Experience leading junior and senior software engineers
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Passion for learning new technologies, being involved in software communities
• Experience with C#/.NET is required.
• Docker experience is preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of complex technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities.
• Assist in maintenance and upgrades of existing software applications.
• Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.
• Provide support in all phases of SDLC and ensure delivery of high-quality products.
• Provide training and mentorship to other engineers.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues in a timely fashion.
• Develop most effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and executing assigned tasks within deadlines.
