Job summary

Tech Holding is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to guide a distributed team spanning frontend, backend, mobile, and DevOps. You will provide architectural guidance, drive key technical decisions, and align delivery with the client’s roadmap.

You’ll collaborate with engineering teams and client stakeholders, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and help manage sprint planning and cross-team coordination to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a technical lead, staff engineer, or architect-level role.
• Expertise in at least one primary domain (frontend, backend, or mobile) with architectural awareness across platforms.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to oversee a cross-functional team responsible for platform maintenance and light feature evolution. This role is ideal for a technical leader coming from a frontend, backend, or mobile engineering background who can effectively guide cross-functional teams and collaborate across the broader platform ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in at least one primary engineering discipline while maintaining strong architectural awareness across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud infrastructure environments. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical judgment, and the ability to partner closely with both engineering teams and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a distributed team of frontend, backend, mobile, and DevOps engineers


• Provide architectural guidance across all layers of the platform


• Drive technical decision-making and ensure alignment with the client’s engineering guidelines and product roadmap


• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices


• Serve as the primary technical point of contact between the delivery team and client stakeholders


• Identify technical risks and proactively propose mitigation strategies


• Facilitate sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives in collaboration with project management


• Support cross-functional collaboration across frontend, backend, mobile, and infrastructure teams

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience


• 3+ years in a technical lead, staff engineer, or architect-level role leading cross-functional teams


• Strong hands-on engineering experience in at least one primary domain:

• Working understanding of adjacent disciplines across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud infrastructure environments


• Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure and deployment environments such as Kubernetes and Cloud Run. Hands-on DevOps expertise is not required, but candidates should understand the infrastructure supporting the applications they work on


• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across US time zones

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis / Valkey, and headless CMS platforms like Sanity


• Prior experience in sports, media, or entertainment platforms


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code


• Familiarity with performance optimization and caching strategies at scale
