Job Title: Java Tech Lead (Payments Infrastructure)
Location: Remote (Candidates only in CST and EST)
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Essential Job Functions:
- Lead, drive, and analyze technical support services for enterprise processes and technology, resolving support requests to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery.
- Monitor work requests proactively, evaluate team service offerings, and facilitate collaboration with the tech community, partners, and leadership to resolve escalated issues.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, manage and test changes, and streamline workflows to enhance performance and delivery.
- Analyze data, identify gaps, determine next steps, resolve complex problems, and notify management of potential risks, working with vendors as needed.
- Adhere to policies and standards, escalate exceptions, and may oversee operational monitoring, reporting, and remediation.
- Demonstrate SME status, possess deep knowledge of supported LOBs, and collaborate proactively to prevent negative impacts.
- Mentor and train team members, promote continuous learning, and encourage feedback.
- Lead strategic meetings, prepare agendas, manage discussions, and record outcomes and action items.
- Define and analyze metrics to monitor product, process, or environment health, perform strategic analysis, and evaluate financial impacts to inform technical recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Basic understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, SQL).
- 3+ years of application support experience, preferably in Payments Infrastructure (e.g., Check Processing, Returns, Adjustments).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Support responsibilities, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
- Experience with Jira/Jira Align, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, automated testing, and TDD.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification or prior Project Management experience.
- Experience as a Team Lead or in leadership roles.
