Infleqtion is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Manager to lead a small team of technicians responsible for assembling, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting sophisticated optical hardware. The role emphasizes strong experimental physics, hands‑on laser and spectroscopy work, and the ability to ensure the technical quality and transfer of custom systems into production.

Qualifications

• Strong experimental‑physics foundation and hands-on experience with lasers, spectroscopy, ultrahigh vacuum, precision optical systems, or comparable hardware.
• Ability to interpret physical behavior from test data and lead root‑cause investigations across product, process, test, component, and workmanship causes.
• Experience leading and developing technicians and laboratory staff; formal people‑management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a small team of manufacturing technicians performing assembly, integration, alignment, test, inspection, rework, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain technical oversight of active builds and ensure documentation, test procedures, and acceptance criteria are understood and followed.
• Provide hands‑on leadership during system assembly, optical alignment, integration, calibration, verification, and failure investigation.
• Resolve problems using physics‑based reasoning and structured root‑cause methods across optics, electronics, vacuum, mechanics, controls, and software interfaces.
• Work with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to convert development knowledge into controlled build records and test methods.
