Arrcus, a San Jose-based network platform company, seeks a Technical Lead for Network Platform Software Development in a role blending design, implementation, and collaboration with hardware and cloud teams. The position emphasizes scalable data-path software, QoS capabilities, and high-availability networking.

You will work on IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, and VRF/L2 features, with exposure to Debian packaging, Linux kernel networking, and containerized environments.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
• 8+ years of hands-on networking software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++/Go/Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data path solutions for IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, VRF, and L3/L2 networking.
• Architect and implement QoS features including queueing, classification, policing, shaping, ACL, ECN, and WRED.
• Work with ASIC families (e.g., BCM XGS, BF Tofino) and BCM SDK, P4, and DPDK.
• Optimize Linux networking internals, memory management, network stack, and HAL.
• Develop high-availability solutions, ISSU, and Linux-based networking systems.
• Contribute to Debian packaging, kernel networking, and kernel modifications.
• Develop and integrate software for containerized and virtualized networking environments.
